Mary Lee Griffin Connell

Dateline: Monroe, NC Mary Lee Griffin Connell, 85, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012. She was a joy to her family and friends and was caring and kind to all she came into contact with. Mrs. Connell enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening, and she enjoyed her favorite cat. The family will receive friends Friday, January 13, 2012 from 1:00 until 1:45 at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 2812 followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM in the chapel. Mrs. Connell was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Clifton Connell. She is survived by a nephew, Warren Stephens and wife Becky and several great nieces and nephews.
