Mary “Dolly” Hargett Glenn, 85 years of age, of Monroe, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Carolinas Healthcare System-Union in Monroe, NC. Mrs. Glenn was born April 22, 1932 in Waxhaw to the late Thad Dallas Hargett and the late Eloise Hargett. She was also preceded in death by her husband of thirty-one years, Donald Glenn. Mrs. Glenn was retired from Charlotte Plastics. She was a long time member of Hebron United Methodist, where she was the President of the United Methodist Women’s group for many years. The family will receive friends from 2:00-2:45 p.m., Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Gordon Funeral Service 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC. The funeral service will follow immediately at 3:00 p.m. in the Gordon Funeral Chapel officiated by the Rev. Eric Lane with burial at Lakeland Memorial Park. Left to honor her and remember her love are Mrs. Glenn’s two children: Dawn (Barry) Roberson and Gina Glenn; two granddaughters; Wendy (Will) Linker and Kelly (Jeremy) Cairns, four great grandchildren; Kennedy Cairns, Hank Linker, Lanie Cairns, and TJ Linker, three sisters; Esther Nelson, Jimmie Tapp, Ellen Burgess and husband Stan; and one brother Thad Hargette Jr. and wife Donna.
