Mary Jo Gollnitz

Mary Jo Cerrie Gollnitz, 62, passed away Monday, May 16, 2022. She was born March 28, 1960, in Dunkirk, NY, daughter of Rose Tampio Cerrie and the late Benjamin Anthony Cerrie. She is also preceded in death by her brother Michael Cerrie and father-in-law Robert Gollnitz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00PM, Monday, May 23, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 725 Deese Street, Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends following the service. A Memorial Service will be held in Fredonia, NY at a later date.

She enjoyed attending festivals, farmer’s markets, car shows, and auto swap meets as a vendor. Her passions were crocheting, making memory blankets and memory T-shirt blankets. She loved spending time with her family and friends and will be missed by all that knew her.

Mary Jo is survived by her loving husband, Dean Gollnitz; son, Chad Gollnitz, wife Tiffany of Westfield, NY; daughter, Kellie Sacilowski, husband Mark of Fredonia, NY; her mother, Rose Tampio Cerrie; two brothers, Robert Cerrie, wife Kimberly, Joseph Cerrie, wife Annie; one grandson Jackson Gollnitz; mother-in-law Ople Gollnitz, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews and her granddog Bella.
