Mary Elizabeth (Dorsey) Medlin

Mary Elizabeth Medlin, 93, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014. She was born in Pamplin, Virginia on May 24, 1921 daughter of the late John and Virginia Lytton Dorsey. Mrs. Medlin was a retired librarian with the Union County Public Library and a member of Central United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 10:00 until 10:45 AM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112 followed by the memorial service at 11:00 AM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Medlin was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Carroll Medlin, brother, John Trammell and sister, Virginia Holden. She is survived by sons, Thomas C. Medlin, Jr. of Essex, CT and Todd W. Medlin and wife Nancy of Garner, NC, daughter, Virginia “Ginny” Brock and husband Larry of Monroe, NC, grandchildren, Susie Verrill, Russ Brock, Chip, Brittany and Brian Medlin, great grandchildren, Christopher, Katie and Thomas Verrill and Sarah and Ryan Brock.
