Mary Agnes (Benton) Rape

Mary Agnes Benton Rape, 80, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2011. She was born in Union County on December 12, 1930 daughter of the late James Eldridge and Glennie Musetta Greene Benton. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Wolf Pond Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Rape was preceded in death by her husband, David Matthews Rape, children, Jerry Matthews Rape, Jimmy Wayne Rape, Wade Lee Rape and Baby Boy, brothers, James J. and Max Lee Benton, sister, Alice Louise Taylor. She is survived by daughters, Jeanette Carter and husband Harold and Patty Lynn Mills, sons, David Earl Rape and wife Deborah, and Clifford Gene Rape; grandchildren, Steven Carter and wife Janet, Jessica Miller and husband Gregg, Rebecca Nicole Malloy and husband Bryan, Courtney Rochelle Rape, Stephanie Adams and husband Wayne, Joshua and Staci Mills, Cliff and Joseph Rape and Brian Rape; great grandchildren, Brandon Knight, Kacey and Kaitlyn Carter, Gavin and Garrett Miller, Maddie Oliver, Landon Rape and Gabe Malloy; daughter-in-law, Linda Hartis Rape and sister; Evelyn Frances Helms. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.
