Eldis Bowden Thomas, 91, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015. She was born September 2, 1923, daughter of the late Jesse Thomas and Iva Strawn Bowden. Mrs. Thomas was also preceded in death by a son, Rondle Louis Thomas and two sisters, Lynn Newman and Jonell Thomas. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 3:00 PM in Mill Creek Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends and relatives from 2:00 - 2:45 PM prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Thomas is survived by her husband, Roscoe Bryce Thomas; son, William Michael Thomas and wife Wanda of Monroe; brother Sidney Norris Bowden and wife Joyce of Kannapolis, NC; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
