Mary Lou Carter Tyson

Dateline: Waxhaw, NC Mary Lou Carter Tyson, 62, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2009. She was born in Union County, NC on August 13, 1946 daughter of the late Alexander and Lillie Mae Helms Carter. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 11:00 AM in Gordon Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the Waxhaw City Cemetery. Mrs. Tyson was preceded in death by a son, James Robert Tyson, brothers, Alexander, Alvin, and Robert Lee Carter and sister, Catherine Carter. Mrs. Tyson is survived by her husband, James H. Tyson, daughter, Lisa Tyson Walser of Waxhaw, brother, Donnie Ray Carter, sisters, Lizzie Carter Rollins of Waxhaw, and Betty Ann Prosser of Monroe and 1 grandchild, Xander Walser. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at Gordon Funeral Cremation Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.
