Maurice Dixon Baker, 77, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013. He was born April 12, 1936 in Union County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Doctor Claude and Julie Starnes Baker and brothers, Claude, Joe and Richard. Mr. Baker was a master cabinet maker in Union County and a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Frances Helms Baker and nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 1:00 PM in Lakeland Memorial Park.
