Megan Rape Goff

Megan Rape Goff, 40, of Concord, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, December 28th, 2024 surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones. Megan was born in Union County, NC on August 20, 1984. She was preceded in death by her brother, James “Jamie” Dennis Rape, Jr.; grandparents, Dorothy and James “Monk” Rape, and Geraldine and Heath Baucom.

Megan is survived by her husband, Benjamin; mother and father, Helena and Dennis Rape; sister and brother-in-law, Vanessa and Joshua Evans; sisters-in-law, Courtney Parrish and Rebekah Capizzani (Michael); nephew, Jackson Parrish; and nieces, Lydia Evans, Adelyn Evans, Grayce Parrish, and Penelope Capizzani. She is further survived by countless extended family and friends, all of whom love her and will miss her dearly.

Megan was a committed and compassionate nurse at Poplin Elementary School. She enjoyed spending time and vacationing with her family. Megan also loved a good filet, a good show, and a good meme. If she cared about you, you surely knew it. She was the first to offer (often unsolicited) guidance… and her opinion… to help her friends and family in need. As a child of God, her love, compassion and empathy for others was a testament to her faith and upbringing. Megan was also a committed and passionate amateur detective. If she was on the case, no stone would be left unturned. “Faithful,” “remarkable,” and “beautiful” are the perfect words to describe her, but the words have not yet been invented to adequately describe how much she IS loved and will be missed.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. A celebration of Megan’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Gordon Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.
