Michael Wayne Mike Rushing, Jr., 42, of Monroe, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017. He was born August 6, 1974, in Mecklenburg County, NC, to Rhonda Sue Johnson and the late Michael Wayne Rushing, Sr. In addition to his mother, Mr. Rushing is survived by his wife, Trina Whitley Rushing, three children, Joshua Whitley, Courtney Adams, and Darius Wright, brother, Matthew Rushing, and three grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 21, 2017, in the Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112.
