Mikael "Mike" Helms

Dateline: Monroe, NC Mikael “Mike” Dwight Helms, 54, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013. He was born November 10, 1958 in Mecklenburg County, NC, son of the late Dwight Carl and Laura Fowler Helms. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lynne Helms. A memorial service will be Sunday, January 6, 2013 at 4:00 PM in Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. Burial will be at a later date. The family will receive visitors from 2:30 – 3:45 PM prior to the service. Mr. Helms is survived by his sister, Kimala Helms and husband, Wayne Winchester of Mineral Springs; step-daughters, Donna Walters and Lisa Morton husband Patrick, all of Monroe; step-grandchildren, Bailey and Brandon Morton; nephew, Zackary Winchester of Mineral Springs; and niece, Jennifer W.
