Mildred Pressley Rorie

Dateline: Wingate, NC Mrs. Mildred Pressley Rorie, 92, of Wingate, NC, passed away on July 21, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Hoyle and Annie Keziah Pressley of Monroe, NC. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Carl V. Rorie. Surviving her are two daughters: Doris Williams and her husband Gene Williams of Monroe, NC and Dr. Nancy Rorie also of Monroe. Mildred was a loving wife, mother and friend to many people. She was a member of Mountain Springs Baptist Church for 80 years. Mrs. Rorie has one surviving sister, Mrs. Christine Neeley of Fort Mill, SC. The funeral service will be Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 1:00 PM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. . The Reverend Philip McLean of Mountain Springs Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM prior to the service.
