Mildred Keziah Tomberlin, 94, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016. She was born in Union County, NC on April 24, 1922 daughter of the late I. B. and Myrtle Rowell Keziah. Mrs. Tomberlin was a lifelong member of Roanoke Baptist Church and was devoted to her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Floyd Tomberlin and sister, Helen Canupp. Brothers, Clifford; Wade, Marvin, I.B., Jr., Jack, and Bobby Keziah. Mrs. Tomberlin is survived by her daughters, Ann Shown and husband Don and Susie Mical and husband Louis, brother, Harold Keziah, all of Monroe, 3 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Roanoke Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Lucy Helms Cemetery.
