Milton Leon Rousseau

March 14, 1939 — November 7, 2017

Milton Leon Rousseau, 78, passed into the arms of his Lord on November 7, 2017. He was born March 14, 1939, in Bridgeport, CT. He grew up and lived in Brookfield, CT, for several decades of his life. A memorial service will be held 7:00PM Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Waxhaw Bible Church 6810 Pleasant Grove Road Waxhaw, NC 28173 with military honors. The family will receive friends following the service. He attended Henry Abbott Technical School (Danbury, CT). He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Saratoga from 1959-1963. He worked at Data Control Systems (Danbury, CT), where he met the woman he married, Judith Anne (Brown) Rousseau. Later, he worked for over 30 years at Rapid Power Technologies in Brookfield. In 2005, he and his wife moved to Monroe, NC. He is survived by his wife of 52 years; by his children: Leon Andrew Rousseau (m. Kirsten); Anne Jeannette Milligan (m. Steve); and Ruth Elizabeth Rousseau; by his three grandsons and three granddaughters; and by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Marilyn Ross; his brother, Richard Rousseau; and his sister, Betty Jean Potoczek. He became a member of Ridgefield Baptist Church (Ridgefield, CT) after attending a Men's Bible Study there in 1975 and trusting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. His most recent church membership was at Waxhaw Bible Church (Waxhaw, NC). He loved listening to music, watching old westerns and science fiction television shows, and doing yardwork. Gordon Funeral Service and Crematory is caring for the Rousseau family.
