Mollie Jewell Pressley, 94, passed away peacefully April 20, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Edward Godrey and Glennie Pearl Bigham Godrey. She was also preceded in death by her husband Coy Lee Pressley; 2 sisters and a brother. A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM, Thursday, April 22, 2021, at Secrest Grove Baptist Cemetery, 4505 Weddington Rd, Monroe, NC 28110, officiated by Rev. Jeff Whitecotton. Jewell was a long time member of Secrest Grove Baptist Church and a charter member of Grace Baptist Church, both in Monroe, NC. Some of her many interests include fishing, cooking for her family and working in her garden. She especially loved her grandchildren. But mainly, “She lived her life for Jesus”. Jewell is survived by her 3 sons, Kenneth Wayne Pressley, Phoenix, Az, Coy Lane Pressley and wife Deborah of Wadesboro, David Lamar Pressley, wife Lorie of Indian Trail; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
