Dateline: Monroe, NC Montez Haskins Miller, 86, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2012. She was born in Sarasota, Florida on May 21, 1926 daughter of the late William and Mary Haskins. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 27, 2012 from 1:00 until 1:45 PM at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church, 3316 Pleasant Plains Rd., Matthews, NC 28105 followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Mrs. Miller is survived by son, John Haskins Miller (Dawn Gwynn) of Fayetteville, daughter, Jeanette Miller Hartis (Andrew) of Indian Trail, brothers, Kenneth Haskins of Atlanta and Guinn Haskins of Woodville, Florida, sister, Maryzell Roberts of Tallahassee, Florida, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
