Morgan Justin Onice Rushing, 48, passed away Monday, May 19, 2025. He was born on November 21, 1976, in Union County, NC. He is the son to Rocky Cannon Rushing and the late Connie Morgan Furr. He is also preceded by his brother Stony Rushing.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, May 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM in Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. The family will visit with friends and relatives following the service. A private burial will be held at a later time.

He graduated from Piedmont High School in 1995, and studied in 2005 at Molloy College, in Long Island, New York. He was a cross-country truck driver for Tri-Star Trucking Company.

Morgan is survived by his father, Rocky Cannon Rushing (Kathy); daughter, Shayla Rushing; Stepfather, Doug Furr, sisters, Lindsay Curlee, Samantha Suptela and Jeannetta McGee; brother, Jason McGee (Brandi); nieces, Rylee Rushing, Grace Lipinsky (Levi), Zoe McGee, and Layla McDougal; and nephews, Reagan Rushing, Justin Hartis (Torie), and Bailey McGee, as well as his Uncle, Anthony Morgan (Rosanna) and Aunt, Judy Morgan and many other Aunts and Uncles as well as many cousins.
