MSG. Thomas Richard Cobb, 58, passed away July 31, 2014. Mr. Cobb was born on March 30, 1956, in Guilford County, NC, to the late Robert Curtis Cobb and Emma Newell Cobb. Mr. Cobb was a retired army veteran, he was a very proud member of the 82nd Airborne, and served his country in Desert Storm. He was a very proud veteran that loved his country and loved the U.S. Flag. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday August 2, 2014 in the Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, North Carolina 28112. The family will visit with family and friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM at Gordon Funeral Service. A committal service with full military honors will be held at 11:00AM Monday, August 4, 2014 at Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd. Salisbury, NC 28144. The family wishes that those who attend the service wear something red, white, and blue. Mr. Cobb is survived by his loving wife Glenda Morrow Cobb; daughters Haven Christine Cobb Brock (Jonathan) of Monroe, Christina Lynn Cobb of Fort Mill, and Angel Dawn Cobb Colvin (Todd) of Monroe; grandchildren Haley Brock, Hunter Brock, Sienna Palmer, and Chase Colvin; brothers Robert Alexander Cobb (Susan) of Roanoke Va., and James Kenneth Cobb (Susan) of Greensboro.
