Nancy Knight Bost

Nancy Ruth Knight Bost, 91, of Monroe, NC Passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025. She was born in Cabarrus County, NC on August 8, 1933, daughter to the late John Wesley Knight and Ozell Beam Knight. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy White Bost, as well as her son-in-law, Clegg Hamilton.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Benton Heights Presbyterian Church, 2701 Concord Hwy, Monroe, NC 28110, with burial in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM in the church sanctuary.

Nancy and her husband Bill were married for 64 years before his passing in 2016, and 9 years later to the day, the two were finally reunited in Heaven. During their 64 years together, the couple enjoyed riding motorcycles and playing Canasta and card games with friends. Above all, they enjoyed spending time with their two children and their families and being active members of Benton Heights Presbyterian Church since the early 1970s.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Lynn Hamilton, and son, Billy W. Bost Jr. (Leslie), granddaughter, Maggie Hamilton McCormick (Matt), and one great-grandson, Charles McCormick.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Union County Council on Aging for their support and care over the last three years, especially Davida Kirkpatrick. She began as Nancy’s aid and became like part of the family.
