Nancy (Helms) Greene

Nancy Helms Greene, 73, of Marshville, North Carolina passed away the afternoon of Sunday, August 5, 2018. A funeral service to celebrate Nancy’s life will be held at 2:00 PM the afternoon of Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Oakland Baptist Church in Monroe, North Carolina with the Rev. David Elsey officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service beginning at 12:30 PM in the sanctuary at Oakland Baptist Church. Born July 21, 1945 in Monroe, North Carolina, Nancy was the daughter of the late Hadley Helms and Ruth Helms of Monroe, North Carolina. Nancy is survived by her husband, Ray U. Greene; her son, Gary R. (Cindy) Greene of Matthews, North Carolina; Emily Nicole (Jeff) Ilges of York, South Carolina; her grandchildren Parker Greene, Jamie Craig, and Lacey Craig; her brother Jerry (Linda) Helms of Monroe, North Carolina; as well as many other family members. Nancy’s deep love for all of her family and friends and her deep abiding love for her heavenly father will be a memory cherished by all she touched.
