Nancy Irene Harrington

Nancy Smith Harrington, 66, of Monroe, NC passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Presbyterian Hospital Matthews. She was born in Stanly County on November 24, 1955 daughter to the late Clifford Smith and Mary Drake Harrington. She is also preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 52 years Avery Jerome Harrington, as well as her brother Cecil Smith. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM, Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112 with burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park, with the Rev. Terry Smith officiating the service. The family will receive friends and relatives prior to the service from 2:00PM until 2:45PM at Gordon Funeral Service. Nancy is survived by her daughter Tammy Beach, son Tommy Harrington wife Sue, six grandchildren Cameron Beach, Deana Harrington, Paula Dean, Karlee Beach, Suzanna Harrington and Josh Harrington, two brothers J.D. Smith and Rex Smith. She will be missed by so many who knew her love and friendship. She loved her family and being a grandma was an important role in life to her. She would do anything for her grandbabies. She enjoyed riding motorcycles with Avery, cross-stitching, scrapbooking, reading, collecting Disney keepsakes and watching movies (she would say life was always perfect on Hallmark Lane).
