Nina Helen Crosby

On December 10, 2020, Nina Helen Hart Crosby entered into eternal life to see what God has prepared for those who love and serve him. Mrs. Crosby was born June 25, 1933 in Clendenin, West Virginia to Odbert and Grace Hart. She attended Trevecca Nazarene College where she met the love of her life, Bruce Crosby, who was an ordained minister in the Church of the Nazarene. Married in 1954, they served God and served people for the 58 years that they were together. They pastored in several churches in Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Alabama. They served in Monroe for 11 years and eventually came back to Monroe to retire near family. She loved her family, her cats (especially Chazzie), her bird collection, working puzzles, and spreading the love of Jesus to all she met. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Crosby was preceded in death by two sisters, Juanita Hart Rucker and Aulene Hart Samples and one brother, Edward Hart. She is survived by one brother, Robert Hart and wife Sue and Brother-in-law Fleary Samples and wife Greta. She is also survived by one daughter: Brenda Grigston and husband Tony Grigston; four grandchildren: Daniel Grigston and wife Amber, Wesley Grigston and wife Sara, Tyler Grigston and wife Jillian, and Shana Grigston and fiance Alex McGuire. She was a special "Grammie" to eight great-grandchildren: Kalani, Kruz, Maddy, Wyatt, Eliza, Dean, Leo, Ivy, and one more expecting to arrive in February. The family will have a graveside service on Sunday, December 13th at 3 PM in Lakeland Memorial Park.
