Norma Jean Little

September 9, 1943 — June 30, 2024

Norma Jean Williams Little, 80, of Monroe, NC passed away peacefully at home June 30, 2024. She was born in Union County on September 9, 1943, daughter to the late Albert Cray Williams and Lela Mae Hinson Williams.


A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Antioch Baptist Church, 6223 Love Mill Road, Monroe, NC 28110, The family will receive friends prior to the service at 12:00PM.


Norma is survived by her loving husband, Eustace “Tom” Little, daughter, Regina Dunn, son, Eric Little and wife Shannon, three sisters, Brenda Haigler, Elaine Latham, Roberta Noah, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.


She enjoyed volunteering with prison ministries for women, serving food at homeless shelters and preparing food for local foodbanks. On her days off, Norma would drive cancer patients to receive their treatment and sat with them throughout the day. Following her second battle with breast cancer, Norma volunteered to helped raise money for the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade. She and her team participated annually in the Avon Breast Cancer walk event, walking 39 miles in two days to raise money for breast cancer research.


Norma was an avid sports fan. She enjoyed all sports. She played in a senior basketball league with the Charlotte Queen Bees. Most of all, she really enjoyed the pickup games in the driveway with her grandchildren.


She had many passions in life that she truly enjoyed; traveling, gardening, antiques, cooking and shopping. But her greatest passion was family. Spending time with her grandchildren were always her favorite. She never forgot a birthday and you could always count on her mailing a card. She loved the Christmas season and spending time with family around the Christmas tree that you new she decorated with love.


She completed God’s mission for her life and will be greatly missed. A special thank you to the wonderful team at Hospice Care Union. The Hospice team provided the best possible care for Norma and her family.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in memory of Norma Little to Missions at Antioch Baptist Church, 6223 Love Mill Road, Monroe, NC 28110 and to Hospice and Palliative Care Union 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd. Monroe, NC 28110
