Norma Lynn Williams, 80, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016. She was born in Union County, NC on March 31, 1935 daughter of the late Norman C. and Essie Faye Simpson Whitley. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Greg Whitley. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel. Entombment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband, John D. Williams, son, David Mills of Clearwater, Florida, daughter, Tanna Mills and husband Patrick Konecny, brother, Ronnie Whitley and wife Sue of Marshville, sisters, Peggy Fowler and husband Hoyte, Martha Rushing and husband Craven, all of Monroe, and one grandchild, Brandon Konecny and wife Rachel of Raleigh.
