Norman Kent Robinson

Mr. Norman Kent Robinson (“KR”) 80, of Monroe passed away Saturday, November 23, 2019. He was born in Union County on August 20, 1939 to the late Norman Rivers Robinson and Annie Mae Morris Robinson. KR would do anything for those he came into contact with and loved every person, and animal that he came into contact with. If you had a nickname, then you knew how much you meant to him. He would do anything for anyone. He was a devoted partner to Janie, a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather to his children and family that he loved dearly. He enjoyed life to the fullest, and loved his family and friends unconditionally. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at New Hope United Methodist Church, 3221 Plyler Mill Rd, Monroe, NC 28112. Burial to follow at Lakeland Memorial Park with Military Honors. Kent is survived by the love of his life Janie, sons; Daniel Blake Robinson (Mayce Vaden), and Darren Kent Robinson, daughters; Lisa Robinson, Lindsey Brader (Chris), Megan Price (Brandon “Hot-Dog”), Tracy Karklin (John), and Michelle Benecke (Jon), grandchildren; Heather, Brian, Brianna, Logan Kent, Darren Gaige, Evan, Carter Kent, Declan, Madison Rivers, Heidi, great-grandchildren; Malieah, Justin, Summer and Cayden, his right hand man, Rudy Teran, and his fur babies; Roy, Teddy, Tucker and Mingus. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112. KR enjoyed this time of the year and was always enjoyed helping those in need.
