Odessa Robinson Hinson, 97, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017. She was born in Chesterfield County on April 14, 1920, daughter of the late Oscar and Della Montgomery Robinson. She is also preceded in death by her husband, John Hinson, son; Richard Hinson, daughter; Betty Jo Boone, husband Harry Van Boone, son-in-law, Larry Deese husband of Ann Deese, two brothers; Gene Robinson and Dutch Robinson, eight sisters; Marie Robinson, Sally Mullis, Margaret Aldridge, Irene Honeycutt, Johnsie Robinson, Bobbie Jean Robinson, Shelby Jean Robinson, Mabel Robinson, two grandchildren; Brian Deese and Gene Clay. A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Monroe City Cemetery-Suncrest, 891 Bickett St, Monroe, NC 28112. Ms. Hinson is survived by her two daughters; Margie Clay, husband Herman of Monroe, Ann Deese of Monroe, daughter-in-law Pat Hinson, wife of Richard Hinson, four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
