Olin Samuel Howey, Sr., 88, passed away November 1, 2021. He was born March 28, 1933 in Union County, NC, son of the late Otho and Ona Lee Price Howey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Cynthia Howey, daughter Cynthia Howey and son, Olin Samuel Howey, Jr. Graveside services with military honors will be Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 11:00 AM in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will visit with family and friends from 10:00 - 10:45 AM prior to the service. Mr. Howey served as a police officer for fifteen years in Monroe, NC and was a CATS driver in Charlotte for over 30 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Howey is survived by his grandson, Matthew Blake Howey and wife, Amanda and great-grandson, Tanner Howey and a few nieces and nephews.
