Oren Lee Lathan, 83, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013. He was born in Union County, NC on December 23, 1929 son of the late Otis Lee and Maude Cook Lathan. A graveside funeral service will be held Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 2:00 PM in Lakeland Memorial Park. Visitation will follow the graveside service. Mr. Lathan was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Spittle Lathan. He is survived by a daughter, Teresa Murphy and husband Alan and grandson Alexander of Monroe.
