Pamala Laine Fondriest

Pamala Sue Fondriest (Laine), 61, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025. She was born in Dennison, Ohio on October 25, 1963 to the late Robert Laine and Peggy Jean Corpman Laine.

Pam is survived by her husband of 41 years, Richard Elden Fondriest; beloved step-mother, Rhonda Laine; three sons, Richard Fondriest (Courtenay), Ryen Fondriest (Amy), Tyler Fondriest (Hannah); dearest daughter, Sarah Sims (Jacob); four siblings, John Laine (Linda), Deborah Garr-Laine, Will Laine (Allison), Bobby Laine (Angela); nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Pam treasured time spent with her family and friends, and held a deep, abiding love for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed antiquing and traveling with her dear friend and sister-in-law, Dianna, and had a fondness for collecting postcards. Her garden was one of her greatest joys, especially tending to her peppers and tomatoes. In her leisure time, Pam loved reading, working in the yard, and fishing on Lake Erie.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Graceway Baptist Church, 4700 Weddington Rd. Matthews, NC 28104.  The service will be live streamed from Graceway Baptist Church's website at https://www.gracewaycharlotte.org/ The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112.
