Starts at 3:00 pm (Eastern time)
Pamela Sue McAuley, lovingly known as Pam, went to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ on July 6, 2026, at the age of 64.
Pam was born on December 27, 1961, in Okinawa, Japan, while her father was serving in the military. She later made her home in Monroe, North Carolina, where she built a life centered on family, hard work, and unwavering love.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Covenant Baptist Church, 2706 Secrest Shortcut Rd, Monroe, NC 28110, with visitation to follow.
Throughout her career, Pam worked in human resources and accounting, dedicating many years to helping others through her professionalism, kindness, and integrity. In her later years, she was proud to work for Smithfield Foods, where she continued to bring the same commitment and work ethic that defined her life.
Pam’s greatest love was her family. She adored her husband, children, and grandchildren with all her heart.
Pam loved the mountains and the beach. She loved the sound of the waves, and the warmth of the sun brought her peace. Pam enjoyed trail riding her horses through the mountains of Grayson Highlands in VA. She had a great love for her dogs, donkeys, horses, and friends.
She loved the color red because, as she often said, “Red is power.” It suited her perfectly—a color that reflected her strength, resilience, and spirit.
Pam had a deep love for the Lord and was steadfast in her faith. She graduated from Trinity Bible College through Covenant Baptist Church, reflecting her lifelong commitment to studying God's Word and growing in her faith.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents, James Owens and Ethel Owens.
She is survived by her devoted husband, David Michael (Mike) McAuley; her beloved children, Keith Henley and Kelly Ranson; and her treasured grandchildren, Harper Ranson, Sarah Henley, Hannah Henley, Ethan Henley, Nora Hayes, and Harley Henley, each of whom brought immeasurable joy to her life. She is also survived by her brothers, James “Jim” Owens Jr., John “Johnny” Owens, and sister, Stephanie “Sissy” Simmons.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and family that will never be forgotten.
