Mr. Parks C. Helms, 70, of Monroe, NC passed away Sunday, February 23, 2020. He was born in Union County on October 3, 1949 to the late Herman and Virginia Helms. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, February 28, 2020 at Covenant Baptist Church, 2706 Secrest Short Cut Road, Monroe, NC 28110, burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Covenant Baptist Church. He was a active member of Covenant Baptist Church, and retired from Teledyne Allvac of Monroe, NC after 36 years. Parks is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Susan Bradley Helms, son Jamey Helms (Stacey) of Lancaster, step-daughter Kelly King of Concord, brother Johnny Helms (Nancy) of Wadesboro, two grandchildren; Sophia and Taylor Helms, step-grandchildren; Ashley Eyer (Josh) and Cloe King, as well as, several nieces and nephews.
