Pat Perry (Bushnell) Howie

Patricia (Pat) Perry (Bushnell) Howie, a resident of Terra Bella Senior Living in Charlotte, completed her earthly journey on January 5th, 2023. She passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior after a long and difficult struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Pat was born in England, Arkansas on March 15, 1933, to the late Chester William Perry and Flora Bell Turner Perry.

In addition to being a homemaker and devoted mother to her four children, she worked for Crum & Forster Insurance in Charlotte from 1968 - 1993.

In 1977, she married Paul Howie, Jr. and moved to Monroe. They were married 41 years until his death in 2019. In addition to her parents and Paul, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Wayne Perry and Paul’s grandson, Willie Plowman.

Those left to cherish her memory are her brother, Jimmy Royce Perry (Rita) of Ft. Worth, Texas, her four children, Rebekah Woodward (David) of Charlotte, NC, Beth Caskey (Mike) of Matthews, NC, Joy Whitlatch (Bobby) of Boone, NC, and Steve Bushnell (LeAnne) of Lincolnton, NC; Paul’s daughters, Donna Howie Plowman (Jerry) of Monroe, NC and Deborah Howie Huffman of Monroe, NC; 9 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will take place at 2:30 pm Friday, January 13, 2023 at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 4013 New Town Road in Waxhaw, NC with visitation following the service.
