Pat Stafford

Mrs. Pat Hinson Stafford, 91, of Monroe, NC passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021. She was born in Union County on August 21, 1929, daughter to the late Pink Sylvester Hinson and Lillie Baucom Hinson. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband Kenneth Stafford and their son, Air Force Colonal Russell Stafford, seven brothers, Ray Hinson, Gad Hinson, Ted Hinson, Willie Hinson, Pink Hinson, Baucom Hinson and Folan Hinson; two sister, Martha Chaney and Ruth McCain. A private graveside service will be held at Lakeland Memorial Park. She was a devoted Christian and loyal lifelong member of Corinth Baptist Church, where she spent over 50 years serving as a Sunday School Teacher. She retired from Springs after 40 years as a Seamstress, and enjoyed working many years following retirement for UCB and Monroe Mall. Pat is survived by her daughters, Brenda Laney, husband David and Rita Winchester, husband James, daughter-in-law Jean Stafford, five grandchildren, Scott Laney, Krissy Gilbert, Valerie Laney, Amy Cohen and Ken Stafford; and five great grandchildren, Grant Gilbert, Evan Gilbert, Scout McFalls, Addison Laney and Will Richardson, as well as former son-in-law Rick Griffin.
