Patricia Ann Callahan Fleming, 73, of Monroe, NC passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Thursday, April 9, 2026. She was born in Franklin, NC on December 25, 1952, daughter to the late George Callahan and Bonnie McConnell Callahan. She is also preceded in death by an infant great-granddaughter, Peyton Courtney.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, April 18, 2026, in the Chapel of Gordon Funeral Service, with visitation to follow at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Marty Fleming Sr.; son, Marty Fleming Jr.; daughters, Mandy Fleming (Brittney) and Michelle Ramsey (Robert); brothers, George Callahan (Carolyn), Mike Callahan, and Eddie Callahan; sisters, Janice Smith (Tom) and Gail Hicks (Tom); five grandchildren, Max Courtney, Laura Courtney, Zane Courtney (Ashley), Matthew Fleming, and Kendall Fleming, and five great-grandchildren, Landon Arreola, Logan Courtney, Levion Funderburk, Ariel Courtney, and Cade Courtney.

She was a member of Waxhaw Presbyterian Church. Her favorite quote which she remembered from her mother is, “Birds are the songs of our lives.” The moment she passed into the gates of Heaven, her granddaughter heard a wind chime and the sound of a bird chirping. She loved life and her family fiercely. She opened her arms to everyone and was a selfless, giving person. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the hospice nurses Nicole and Sabrina, social worker Hallie, CNA Lola, and chaplain Jeremy for their dedicated care during this time in Pat’s life.
