Patricia Simpson Rogers

Patricia Simpson Rogers, 74, passed away Monday, November 29, 2021. She was born March 8, 1947 in Chester, SC, daughter of the late Eugene and Margaret Hunter Simpson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Warren Burris Rogers, Jr. Patricia loved gardening, the outdoors and the mountains. She taught her grandchildren the fine art of making biscuits and jelly and loved spending time with her family teaching the Word of God. She was one of the strongest, most caring women, who was a strong fighter, and will be missed by all. Funeral services will be Friday, December 3, 2021 at 1:00 PM in Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC. Burial will follow in Center Grove Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will visit with friends and relatives Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service. Patricia is survived by her daughters, Wendy Rogers of Waxhaw, Teresa Anderson (Steve) of Lancaster, SC and Veronica James of Monroe; son, John Rogers; grandchildren, Amber McCoy of Rockingham, Brandon Anderson of Wingate, Sandy Sikorski of Virginia, Magan McCoy of Monroe, Michael Rogers of Waxhaw, Jessica Lordman of Southport, Keaton Anderson of Monroe, and Sheyanne Anderson of Monroe; sisters, Lydia Young of York, SC and Mellany Belk of Unionville; and twelve great-grandchildren.
