Pearlie Rhodes Eason

Pearlie Rhodes Eason, born June 19, 1938 of Indian Trail, NC, passed away on June 2, 2019. She is preceded in death by her parents Willie Newton Rhodes and Oleta Johnson Rhodes, her husband Ted Richard Eason, and brothers James Rhodes and Johnny Rhodes. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 7, 2019 at 1:00pm at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC, with burial to follow at Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:00am until 12:45pm prior to the service. Pearlie is survived by her son, Tim Eason of Indian Trail; brothers, Frankie Rhodes and wife Brenda of Charlotte, Howard Rhodes of Indian trail, sister-in-law, Geraldine of Charlotte; daughter, Monica Eason Knight and husband Anthony of Pageland, SC, grandchildren Derrick McManus of Indian Trail, and Drake Knight of Pageland, SC; and great grandchild Declan McManus of Indian Trail, sister-in-law’s, Ann Eason of Hiddenite, NC and Marlene Eason Matheson, of Indian Trail, also a niece Julie Eason Jenkins of Hiddenite, NC, and nephew David Eason of Charlotte. For most of her employment she worked as a commercial artist for over 30 years. She was one of the most kindhearted and selfless people that you would ever meet. Pearlie was not one to complain and always made sure everyone was taken care of before herself. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and going to church.
