Peggy J. Baker

Peggy J. Baker, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 27, 2008 at the age of 76. She was born in Anson County, NC on January 21, 1932 to the late Henry and Lilly Mae Russell. Mrs. Baker was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and she will be missed by all. She is reunited with the love of her life, and they are walking hand in hand together in Heaven. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 30, 2008 at 2:00 PM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Wayne Baker, who passed away February 14, 2008, a brother James Russell and a sister Joyce Parker. She is survived by sons, Mike Baker and wife Judy of Washington State, Rick Baker and wife Julie of Monroe, Aaron Baker and wife Julie of Marshville, daughters, Sue Medlin and husband Wade and Debbie Arant and husband David, all of Marshville, 12 grandchildren, Michelle O’Leary and husband Kevin, Crystal Baker, Chad Baker and wife Christina, Jimmy Baker and wife Nikki, April Fraker, Shelby Baker, Hunter Baker, David Arant and wife Lindsey, Jeffery Arant and wife Tamara, Terry Smith and husband Ben, Erika Baker and Ashley Baker, 6 great grandchildren, Lucas Baker, Austin Baker, Kerstin Henry, Dylan O’Leary, Nathan Arant, Blake Baker and another one on the way. We would like to extend a special thank you to her doctor, Dr. Laguerre. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 29, 2008 from 2:00 until 4:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Cremation Service and at other times will be at the home of her daughter Debbie Arant, 6126 Riggins Rd., Marshville.
