Peggy (Carnes) Brock

Peggy Carnes Brock, 85, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014. She was born January 12, 1929 in Union County, daughter of the late Alexander Brown and Margie Ethel Conder Carnes. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles W. Brock. Funeral services will be Monday, December 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM in Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends and relatives from 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM prior to the service. Mrs. Brock is survived by her daughter, Candy Helms of Mebane, NC; step-son Larry Brock and wife Ginny of Monroe; grandchildren Susie Verrill and Russ Brock; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Billie Purser of Lancaster and Ruth C. Cox and husband Bobby of Monroe; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Sandy and Marc Ellsworth, Kathy Jones and Carolyn Houston. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W.
