Pete Carl Priles, 62, passed away Friday, January 3, 2014. He was born April 9, 1951 in Union County, son of the late Charles George and Martha Helms Priles. He was a Lineman for Pike Electric, and was a volunteer fireman with Wingate Volunteer Fire Department. Funeral services will be Sunday, January 5, 2014 at 3:00 PM in Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. Burial will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church cemetery. The family will visit with friends and relatives Sunday from 2:00 – 3:00 PM prior to the funeral. Mr. Priles is survived by his wife, June Mincey Priles; a son, Robert Priles of Indian Trail; a step-daughter, Rhonda Touchton of Wingate; brothers, George Priles, Jr. and Tommy Priles, both of Monroe; a sister, Sarah Katherine Taylor of Badin; grandchildren, Kaylee Priles and Hannah Priles.
