Funeral services will be held Friday, May 27, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Mary Elizabeth Baptist Church, 3703 Mary Elizabeth Church Rd., Waxhaw, NC 28173. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Echols was preceded in death by her husband Billy Lee Echols. She is survived by her sons, Billy Lee Echols, Jr. and wife Tammy of Lancaster, SC, Linvel Echols and wife April and Jeff Echols of Monroe, daughters, Cindy Crook and husband Jerry of Monroe and Lori Couick and husband Harold of Waxhaw, brother, Melvin Johnson, of Maryland, sisters, Sue Fountain of Charlotte and Elaine Miller of Ohio, 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
