Phyllis Elaine (Hill) Griffin

Phyllis Hill Griffin, 73, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, surrounded by her immediate family at her home in Marshville, NC. Mrs. Griffin was born November 1, 1944 in Monroe, NC daughter of the late GB Hill and Daisy Tucker Hill, and grew up in the Unionville area. She retired from UCPS System after 23 years of working with the Exceptional Children’s Department, both in the school setting and at Central Services. Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM, Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe NC 28112. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 2:15 PM at the funeral home. Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Keith Griffin, son Brian Griffin, daughter Regina King (Tony), granddaughter Savana King, sisters Peggy Baucom (Ted) and Lynda Gordon (David), brothers Rick Hill (Donna) and Dennis Hill (Kim), many nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
