Polk Dixon Gyles

Polk Dixon Gyles, 59, of Indian Trail, passed away Friday, November 20, 2015. He was born September 9, 1956, in Gaston County, NC to Anna Ruth Dixon Gyles and the late Ronald Corbin Gyles. Mr. Gyles was an industrial service technician for over 40 years, most recently employed at GE-Energy Management, designing a medium voltage circuit breaker vacuum conversion, his shoes will be hard to fill. He was a beloved husband, father and friend and will be missed by many. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Susan Smalley Gyles; mother, Anna Dixon Gyles of Charlotte; son, Joseph Dixon Gyles and wife, Jennifer of Mint Hill; daughter, Brittany Anna Louise Hoke of Charlotte; brother, Ronnie Gyles and wife, Mardee of Charlotte; and one grandchild, Cameron Gyles. The family will visit with friends and relatives Wednesday, November 25, 2015, from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday in the Gordon Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Rd, Mint Hill, NC 28227.
