Polly Clontz Knight

Mrs. Polly Clontz Knight, 91, of Indian Trail, NC passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024. She was born in Union County, NC on November 10, 1932, daughter to the late Clarence Clontz and Lottie Stillwell Clontz. She is also preceded in death by her husband Charles Ray Knight, four brothers, Avery Clontz; John Clontz; Worth Clontz; and Turner Clontz, as well as two sisters, Margaret Mullis and Betty Hill.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, 7608 Concord Hwy, Monroe, NC 28110, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM in the church.

Polly is survived by her son Ryan Knight, and a brother Garry Clontz.

Polly was committed to her church, her family and friends, and the order of the Eastern Star. Her servant’s heart really shined brightest through her love for cooking. She was known for several dishes, including chicken and dumplings, country style steak, and Polly's pickles. She loved children and gave generously to charities surrounding their needs and education.
