Rachel Ruth Dale Liles

Rachel Ruth Dale Liles, 82, was called home to our Lord on Sunday, March 3, at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Monroe on November 21, 1936 to John Floyd and Ruth Lela McManus Griffin. She was the wife of the late Donald Wayne Liles of Monroe, they shared 60 years of marriage. She retired from GM Nameplate after many years of service. Rachel was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved her pet companion Peanut. She is also preceded in death by (brothers and sisters) Louie Griffin, John Griffin, Nora Lee Abernathy, Jim Griffin and grandson. David Kiker. Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, March 6, 2019 in the Gordon Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Steve Hasting officiating, burial will be in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:45PM to 1:45PM Wednesday at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112. Mrs. Liles is survived by her daughters. Debbie Mew of Monroe NC and Donna Menge (Scott) of Raleigh NC. Grandchildren, Tammy, Jerry, Michael, Cecil Wayne, Shawna, Rachel and Dylan. Great Grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor, Haley and Chelsea. Her brothers and sisters, Josephine Richardson, Robert (Pete) Griffin, Mary Massey, Dillon Griffin and Carroll Wayne Griffin. She was dedicated to her family, friends and pet, her energy and charisma will be deeply missed. She touched the lives of many and was loved by all who knew her.
