Randy Evans Allen, 60, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016. He was born in Union County, NC on December 19, 1955 son of the late Luther Henry and Nana Belle Tarlton Allen. Randy was a 1974 graduate of Piedmont High School and was produce manager at Food Lion on E. Franklin Street in Monroe for 21 years. He was a member of Secrest Grove Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. Randy loved western shows, Star Trek, Grit T.V., southern gospel music and the Triumphant Quartet. Randy is survived by his wife, Kathy Helms Allen, son, Mitchell Evans Allen, daughter, Shana Nicole Keziah, brothers, Henry Allen (Peggy) and Eddie Allen (Ruth), sisters, Frances Blow (George) and Susan Hinde (Stan). The family will receive friends Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 2:00 until 4:45 PM at Secrest Grove Baptist Church, with the funeral service to follow at 5:00 PM. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
