Ray Wilson Mullis

Ray Wilson Mullis, 84, passed away on Thursday April 5, 2018 at his home. He was born in Union County to James Haywood and Bessie Faye Hinson. He retired from American Cyanamid, where he worked for 35 years after serving as a Corporal in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Lillie, as well as his children Timothy, Carol, and Charles. In addition, he has left behind two siblings, Jerry and Ben, as well as, 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was proceeded by 6 siblings: Mary Eunice, Christine, John Van, Billie, James B., and Bob. Ray enjoyed his gardening and a good episode of Gunsmoke or any other Western. He took pleasure in a comfy recliner and the company of loved ones. You could talk for hours and no matter how long your visit you were certain to hear “What’s your rush off?” and “Come back and see us!” He is loved and missed by many.
