Ray Polk

Mr. Arnold Ray Polk died Sunday, September 9, 2012 at the Hospice House in Monroe. Born June 20, 1935, he was the son of the late Carl and Lillian Rushing Polk. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Walters Polk (August 24, 1997), daughter Kathy Dawn Polk (July 13, 1975) and a sister, Linda Polk Baucom (Sept. 6, 1995). Survivors include one son, Roger Ray Polk of the home, one grandson, Joshua Randall Polk and wife Sabrina of Boone, three sisters, Louise Byrum and husband Dennis, Betty Drake, all of Monroe, Janette Baucom and husband Hubert of Wingate, five brothers, Boyd Polk and wife Joan, Larry Polk and wife Delaine, J.E. Polk and wife Rachel, Heath Polk and wife Pat, Jerry Polk and wife Patsy, all of Monroe. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Mill Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
