Ray Steven Upperman

Ray Steven (Steve) Upperman, 73, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021. He was the son of the late Ray Eugene Upperman and Ruth Pabst Upperman. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Bruce W. Upperman. The funeral service will be at 11:30AM on Friday, July 23, 2021 at Gordon Funeral Chapel with burial following at Lakeland Memorial Park, 1901 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112. Family will receive friends from 10:30AM to 11:15AM prior to the service at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. Steve was proud to serve this great country in the Navy. Some of his greatest joys in life were time with his family, golf, travel, and Ohio State Football. His message to his children and grandchildren was always consistent - get an education and live a productive, happy and healthy life. Steve is survived by his loving wife Karen S. Upperman; two sons, Steven Upperman, wife Denise, and Bruce Upperman; one daughter, Caitlin Allen, husband Dustin; sister-in-law, Beverly Upperman; brother and sister-in-law James and Melanie Schneider; nine grandchildren, Jonathan, Matthew, Jordan, Sydney, Brooke, Joshua, Luke, Alivia and Jarren and two great -grandchildren, Jonathan and Juliet.
