Ray W. Vincoli, 85, passed away Friday, April 5, 2019. He was born in Atlanta, GA July 5, 1933 son to the late Umberto & Charlotte “Lottie” LeClaire Vincoli. He is also proceeded in death by a daughter Kelli Rae Bradley. Ray was born in Atlanta, GA the 10th child of 12. He moved to Fayetteville, NC at the age of 7 years old and grew up at Pope A.F.B. He entered Fayetteville High School in 1947 and lettered 3 years in baseball and 2 years in basketball, and graduated in 1951. He graduated from Wake Forest University through ROTC in 1955. Ray was a US-Army Veteran serving his country from 1955 until 1957 as First Lieutenant at Ft Bragg, NC. He started his career in banking and retired from United Carolina Bank in 1995. He was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, and a Charter Member of the Kiwanis Club of Monroe since 1973. Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 116 S. Church St., Monroe, NC 28112. Burial will follow service in Lakeland Memorial Park with Military Honors. Ray is survived by his wife Elaine Atkinson Vincoli, two daughters, Claire V. Faulkerson, husband Ralph and Terri Ramsey, husband Wayne, five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday, April 8, 2019 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.
