Raymond Romillus Medlin

Raymond Romillus Medlin, 81, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013. He was born December 17, 1931 in Union County, son of the late George Washington and Esther Helms Medlin. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Miller, and a step-son, Dillon Funderburk. Funeral services will be Sunday, June 9, 2013 at 2:00 PM in Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends and relatives from 12:30 – 1:45 PM prior to the funeral. Mr. Medlin is survived by his wife Jeanie C. Medlin, a son, Ronnie Medlin and wife Shelia of Monroe; daughters, Anita Medlin of Unionville, Vickie Norris and husband Jerry of Marshville, Becky Baker and husband Bryant of Raleigh; step-sons, Millon Funderburk and wife Royce of Monroe, Jimmy Price and wife Teresa of Stanfield, Paul Price, Jr. and wife Dee of Monroe; step-daughters, Beverly Austin and husband Warren of Wingate and Paulette (Polly) Steele and husband Charles of Monroe; son-in-law, Greg Miller of Monroe; brothers, Herman Medlin and Giles Medlin; sisters, Vashti Jones, Mary Ellen Simpson, Shirley Morgan and Linda Yow; twenty-one grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
